Supporting women in engineering with Moxie
MoxieEncouraging women inside and outside of our business and supporting the growth of women in Science, Engineering, Technology, and Math (STEM) industries, is the goal of Moxie. Supporting a number of initiatives both within and outside of Amec Foster Wheeler it strives to provide members with regular opportunities to meet, greet, and learn from one another. Riding to end multiple sclerosis
CyclistsThe 'Amec Foster 2Wheelers' were in action in the Johnston MS Bike Tour of Mississauga, Ontario helping to raise money for research and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis. Thanks to our matched funding program they have raised more than Cdn$2,200 and are looking to increase that amount. 



Shoreline Cleanup
Shoreline cleanupOffices from around the world participated in this year's Shoreline Cleanup helping to keep our local waterways clean of trash and litter. Stay tuned for more updates as we gather our results and bring you news about some of the unique items and ways our offices contributed this year. 

Keeping busy with the Tees Valley Centre
Our colleagues at the Tees Valley Centre have been busy supporting a number of strategic and personal charities throughout September. Some of these have included The Lance Corporal Ben Hyde Memorial Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support, British Heart Foundation, KidScan, and Tommy's Charity. They have also supported a number of organizations by hosting a 'Bring and Buy Book Stall' with proceeds going towards the Tees Valley Centre strategic charity.

Running to support local charities
ThailandAlthough starting as a small group of individuals the Thailand Office Running Club has grown to more than 27 people who recently ran in the 5th annual Ao-Udom Leam Chabang Mini Marathon. Participants raised funds to help support the development of primary schools within Chonburi, where the office is located.  

Keeping our local communities clean
Since 2013 the Tucker, GA. office, has been helping to clean up their local community by adopting a section of the roadway as part of the Keep DeKalb Beautiful program. In recognition of their efforts the office was recently recognised with a sign that acknowledges their efforts. The office has removed some 300lbs of trash and litter since they started maintaining the roadway.  

Supporting the American Cancer Society
MOABIn their eighth year of organising an event, the Amec Foster Wheeler employees, working as part of the Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project have surpassed their previous years fund raising for the American Cancer Society. With a goal of raising US$4,000 the project team has raised more than US$9,000 with still more time left.
